Resize an Image

Resize Image Tutorial

  1. Open the image editor:
  2. Choose the Open image from computer option
  3. Select the image to be resized and select open.
  4. Click on the image menu and select image size (Image>Image Size).
  5. On the open dialogue box, specify the width of the image.

    Suggested Sizes:
    - Images inserted inside content and news stories: 300 pixels wide
    - Images used in image galleries: 600 pixels wide
    - Product images that won't be using the Loupe function: 300 pixels wide
    - Product images that WILL be using the Loupe function: 600 pixels wide

    To keep the correct proportions of the image, do not uncheck the Constrain proportions check box. Click OK.
  6. Click on the File menu and select Save to save the resized image to your computer.
  7. Type a name for the image you are saving in the Name box making sure you DO NOT use spaces. Use either a hyphen or underscore.
  8. Select the format of image. Use JPEG option, unless you require it to be transparent then choose the PNG option.
  9. Press ok.
